我從清大念材料、到史丹佛做固態電池研究，畢業後加入矽谷的新創從零開發 AI 電池管理系統，現在在 TikTok 廣告部門當 MLOps Engineer，負責廣告推薦系統背後的大規模 data pipelines 的穩定性。這個 blog 是我把走過的路、學到的事、看過的書，想清楚後寫下來的地方。

背景

目前在 TikTok 廣告部門擔任 MLOps Engineer SRE，負責全球大規模即時資料系統的可靠性工程，確保廣告推薦模型能持續即時更新。在此之前任職於 Element Energy（矽谷 Series B 新創），負責電池管理系統的 ML 模型與資料基礎建設。

史丹佛大學材料科學碩士（William Chueh 教授實驗室，固態電池小組）；國立清華大學材料科學學士＋經濟學學士（蔡哲瑋教授實驗室，研究高熵合金）。發表七篇論文，被引用 300+ 次 — Google Scholar。

北美台灣工程師協會（NATEA）矽谷分會理事，史丹佛台灣學生會前任會長。

下班後：跑步、攝影、吉他、看書、學習。

Hi, I'm Kyle

I went from researching solid-state batteries at Stanford, to building AI battery management systems at a Series B startup, to owning reliability for PB-scale data systems at TikTok Ads. This blog is where I write about what I learn along the way — usually a few months after I've stopped feeling clueless about it.

Topics I'm drawn to:

Background

Currently MLOps Engineer at TikTok Ads, where I own reliability for the real-time data systems that keep ads recommendation models training continuously. Previously at Element Energy, building ML and data infrastructure for battery management systems.

MS in Materials Science from Stanford (solid-state batteries, Chueh Lab). BS in Materials Science + BA in Economics from National Tsing Hua University (high-entropy alloys, Professor Che-Wei Tsai's lab). Seven papers, 300+ citations — Google Scholar.

Board member at NATEA Silicon Valley. Former President of the Stanford Taiwanese Student Association.

Off-hours: running, photography, guitar, reading, and learning.
